Big Announcement Something New for Oliver North

Oliver is Retiring from K-12

After years of empowering youth and inspiring educators through the It’s Okay to Dream (OK2D) Tour, Oliver has made the heartfelt decision to retire from speaking to K-12 populations and will no longer be delivering the tour on school campuses.

This wasn’t an easy decision. The tour has impacted thousands of lives, fostering self-awareness, ownership, and the courage to dream big.

We’ve accomplished so much together in the past 10+ years and we want to encourage you to keep going!!!

- Empowered 193,290 students nationwide

- Improved school culture and climate in 25 districts, and

- Prevented 11 suicides—changing and saving lives one student at a time.

While stepping into this next chapter, Oliver will focus on his BVO-YOU Mentoring Program, where he will continue equipping young people with the tools they need to build healthy relationships because, as Oliver says.
"RELATIONSHIPS ARE FOUNDATIONAL TO LEARNING".

Assistant Superintendent, SBCCS

Although there was high energy, you could feel the reflection happening in real-time. The empathy Oliver showed, along with the intensity of the storytelling and the connections people were making, I had never experienced before with a keynote. We serve 406,000 students, and Oliver's keynote reminded me that each individual student is an entity of one, there is no one-size-fits-all all model. I was reminded today that we must meet our kids where they are.

Meet Oliver North

[formerly Petty]

Since 2014, Oliver has been a leading cultural expert, educator, and speaker, addressing mental health in communities in the Inland Empire and nationwide. His organization has participated in four government grants through providing Social Emotional Learning opportunities for tens of thousands of at-promise youth from 2020 through 2024.

In 2021, he led a series of Race + Culture training for parents, students, and educators in VVUSD. Recently, in the same district, Oliver launched a social-emotional learning series of online courses under "The Passion Tape" banner --helping children design the life they imagine on their terms. This learning series was released via a live premiere in mid-February of 2022.

Oliver has impacted over
193,290+ students and 45,000 leaders, improved school culture, engagement, and attendance, and has been recognized for saving 11 lives from suicide. He inspires others with his journey from foster care and homelessness to earning a master’s degree by 23. Guided by his motto,
“It’s Okay 2 Dream but Don’t Just Chase the Dream, Go Catch It.”

Oliver empowers others to take ownership in life and leadership.

Oliver had the opportunity to sit down with corporate executives and roundtables with government officials of federal grant administrators to ask questions and learn from their experiences. As a Certified Master Trainer for the Center for Relationship Education, he is now about to use his voice all across the country to make a change to the way we educate our youth.
